AI face-verified digital onboarding
A QR-launched onboarding platform that verifies customers with deep-learning face matching and ID document recognition, now running in production.
The challenge
Opening an account meant visiting a branch so staff could check identity documents by eye and capture details by hand. It was slow for customers and hard to scale.
What we built
We built a frictionless digital journey: customers scan a QR code, capture their ID and a selfie, and the platform verifies them automatically. Image pre-processing (CLAHE, Otsu binarisation) and region-based OCR read the document, and FaceNet-512 embeddings match the selfie to the ID photo.
