Privacy notice
Last updated 19 October 2026
This notice explains how ZJDI (“we”) handles personal information when you use this website or contact us. We collect as little as we need, protect it properly and never sell it.
Who we are
ZJDI is a private company based in Harare, Zimbabwe. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at info@zjdi.co.zw.
What we collect
- Details you send us: your name, organisation, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the service you are interested in, your preferred contact method and the message you write.
- Technical information: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used to keep the site secure and working.
- Analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, aggregated information about how pages are used. See our cookie notice.
Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as health or financial details, through the contact form.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare and deliver an assessment or proposal.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We rely on your consent (which you give when you submit the form), on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. We do not use your information for automated decision-making about you.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run this website and respond to you, such as our hosting, email delivery and (if you consent) analytics providers. They may process data outside Zimbabwe; where they do, we use providers with appropriate safeguards. We never sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for up to 24 months afterwards unless you become a client, in which case contract records are kept for the periods the law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
How we protect it
We apply the same standards we use for client systems: encryption in transit, restricted access on a least-privilege basis and regular review of who can see what.
Your rights
Under Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07], you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it or to object to its use, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Email info@zjdi.co.zw and we will respond promptly. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Authority (POTRAZ).
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
